Beginners class

Make the Lou Box Top designed by SewDIY

 

 Classes are aimed at sewers that have basic knowledge of using a sewing machine but would like to start making their own clothes. If you can sew a straight line on a sewing machine then you will be able to follow this class.

I will guide you through the process of cutting out your pattern to your specific size, sewing your garment and finishing it to a high standard to be proud of. I aim to keep the class size small so that everyone gets what they need out of the time they have.

 

Skills you will learn:

  • Cutting out a pattern
  • Cutting out your chosen fabric
  • Marking the fabric ready for sewing
  • Using your machine with straight stitch and zigzag stitch
  • Optional: French seams

Once you are signed onto the class you will receive an email with all the information regarding what to bring to the class.

This will take place over two evenings.

7pm - 9:30pm

To sign up to the class you will need to pay in full. Once I have received this your place will be confirmed. Places are given on a first come first served basis. Please note: In the event I am not able to give the class, your payment will be refunded in full. Full refund will be given for cancelations up to a week in advance of the class start date. If you wish to cancel after this point a half refund will be given.
